Grammy-nominated songwriter Jeff Hyde, country music sweetheart Cheryl LuQuire, and Emmy-nominated musical journalist Eric Brace to highlight Nashville charity concert series
Nov. 14 – 23 Poverty Is Real music event to benefit
local non-profit Open Table Nashville
Nov. 14 – 23, the nonprofit organization Poverty Is Real (PIR) will host a charity concert series in Nashville. The event will benefit Open Table Nashville — a non-profit, interfaith community that disrupts cycles of poverty, journeys with the marginalized, and provides education about issues of homelessness. The event will take place at four different Nashville music venues: Station Inn, The Listening Room, 12th and Porter, and Bluebird Café.
The event will kick-off on Nov. 14 at the Station Inn with Grammy nominated music journalists turned music duo Eric Brace and Peter Cooper. The pair’s third collaborative record, “The Comeback Album,” was released in April of this year and was said to be a perfect sample of their well-known unique harmony and clever storytelling.
To follow on Nov. 21 at The Listening Room, is country music sweetheart Cheryl LuQuire. LuQuire’s sound is self-defined as southern charm with Mississippi flare. Her playful country charisma is mixed with a soulful edge that has recently pushed her into the country music spotlight. Opening for LuQuire is another powerful female voice, Dylan Taylor. Taylor’s “Swanky Cool” sound is known for its pop, rock, and folk musical blend, combined with captivating lyrics and stories.
On Nov. 22 the famous Bluebird Café will see the powerful combo of award winning songwriter Jeff Hyde — writer of the hit country single “Springsteen” — and classic county music hit Clint Daniels coming together for what is sure to be an epic collaboration.
On the final night of the event, Nov. 23, another rising country star will be performing at the Bluebird Café — Erin Enderlin. Enderlin has written songs recorded by artists including Alan Jackson, Randy Travis, Terri Clark, Lee Ann Womack, and Luke Bryan, including the award winning singles “Monday Morning Church” and “Last Call.”
